Jessy James is a café, restaurant and bar concept located opposite the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany.
The brief was to provide a multifunctional space that acts as all of the above, with an additional area to invite people to dance. Even though the colour palette is rather dark, the room still feels welcoming thanks to the dim light reflected by a huge glass wall. The minimalist geometric forms, the roughcast walls and the concrete pillars give the establishment an industrial touch without compromising its cosiness fuelled by the soft and warm materials like wood and brass.
It was our aim to turn a former branch bank into a modern, minimalist rough space for hospitality.
