At the heart of the pulsating gallery and art scene near Potsdamer Straße, model 22 apartment by Pournoir is a fresh take on temporary living. The up-and-coming neighborhood brings together different ways of existing, which is reflected in the mixed-use building from the 70s where the fully furnished apartment is located.
Buildings from this period come with their difficulties. However, we decided to maintain as much from the building substance and layout as possible. A thorough approach with regard to a focus on sustainability allowed us to preserve an original feel of the building’s heritage while adding a contemporary twist.
By implementing a warm color palette with soft contrasts, we achieved a relaxing and authentic atmosphere. The idea behind is that of a welcoming home away from home, mixing classic pieces like 70s vintage chairs by Tobia Scarpa and a traditional handwoven Moroccan rug with modern furniture and exclusively selected art pieces by a new wave of Berlin-based artists.
