As part of Germany’s tallest residential building, we redesigned one of the apartments overlooking Frankfurt am Main. At the request of our client, POURNOIR created a retreat with a hotel-esque feeling for temporary use.
The overall Apartment interior design at the Grand Tower is based on stark contrasts of warm earth tones and the richness of natural light in opposition to using hard materials such as brass and galvanized burnished steel for the custom-made kitchen to reflect the structure of the glass building. Another example are the rough walls and floors, finished with the same material to a rigorous standard of detail for a sober and textural appearance. At the same time, the sophisticated design furniture makes the apartment feel like a cozy home right in the city center.
The result is a unique and warm ambience in contrast to the magnificent panorama view of the Frankfurt skyline, Europaviertel and the green Taunus Mountains.
